Heidi Dolamore Resigns as Director of Berkeley Public Library

Berkeley, CA August 28, 2017 – The Berkeley Public Library announced today that Heidi Dolamore is resigning from her position as Director of Library Services, effective September 22, 2017. Heidi Dolamore has served in the role of Director since September 2016.
 
“As President of the Board of Library Trustees, I wish Heidi well as she moves forward in her professional life,” said Diane Davenport, President of the Board of Library Trustees.
 
The Board will initiate a search to fill Ms. Dolamore’s position. Board President Davenport commented, “The Berkeley Public Library has a dedicated public services staff and a creative administrative staff. I am confident that everyone will work together as a team to continue to provide excellent library service to the Berkeley community while the Board conducts the search process for a new Library Director.”
 
The Board is scheduled to meet on September 6, 2017, at which time they will discuss the details for a new director search.
 
“The Board of Library Trustees knows that the role of Berkeley Library Director is a terrific opportunity to work with innovative staff, with engaged unions, with an involved community, and with very supportive Friends and Foundation groups. We look forward to working with all of these stakeholders as we search for a new Library Director,” said Board President Davenport.
