Please join us for a presentation and display on the traditional art of Bali as collected by Professor Joseph Fischer.  The presentation will be at Berkeley’s Central Library, 2090 Kittredge St (& Shattuck Ave) from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday September 28. The accompanying display is at Berkeley’s Central Library, 2090 Kittredge St (& Shattuck Ave) from September 3 to October 15, 2013.  Professor Fischer is a former lecturer at U.C Berkeley, Rangoon University (Burma) and Gadjah Mada University (Indonesia), and is author of five books on Indonesian art.  Topics will include traditional myths, folktales and episodes from the Mahabharata and the Ramayana as they relate to the exhibits on display. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, the free program is intended for those of all ages.
