In partnership with the Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in San Francisco (Milpitas), the Berkeley Public Library will be offering a 8 week Mandarin language workshop for children on July 24 and July 31 from 11:00am to 12:30pm.

Instructor Noya Lee [李娜亞] will lead this fun and dynamic class where children learn to speak Mandarin naturally from reading picture books, singing, and interactive games. They will learn basic greetings, common daily phrases, colors, animals, and Taiwanese food in Mandarin. Children and families can learn about Taiwanese culture and art. For ages 3–8 with their caregivers.

About Noya Lee

Noya Lee has been teaching Mandarin since 2014. She is the former Principal of Bay Valley Chinese School [灣谷中文學校 校長]. In the upcoming academic year 2024-2025, Noya will be assuming the role of the President of the Association of Northern California Chinese Schools [北加州中文學校聯合會], where she will have the privilege of serving over 80 member schools in the San Francisco Bay Area.
