The Berkeley Public Library presents a workshop by Griffin Walsh from the Bay Area's Gaia's Collective, a visionary company with a mission of a greener, more sustainable food system for all.
Griffin Walsh is a mycologist, specializing in reducing the tech and capital requirements needed to grow mushrooms. He has spent his winters teaching about mushroom cultivation at the fungi academy of Guatemala and spent his final year of education researching oyster mushroom growth at UC Berkeley.
In this workshop, Griffin will share about the basics of mycology (the study of fungi) and demonstrate how to cultivate our own mushrooms.
