Student Advocacy and Support
The Student Advocate provides support services to students including individual appointments. The student advocate recruits for Student Leadership activities such as:
- Henry Huffman Institute
- Student speaker panel
- Bookclub leaders
- Bay Area Learners’ Network
- Outreach and referral
- New learner orientation
Traditionally, the Student Advocate is an adult-learner-on-staff who can most effectively understand the unique needs of our adult literacy students.
