Calling all Homeschool Families! Berkeley Public Library is offering a drop in Play Group for TK-5th grade Homeschoolers at West Branch.
This is a unstructured play group run by a credentialed teacher and BPL staff member. Parents and caregivers are expected to stay for the play time.
Activities include: Art, Lego, Play Doh/Clay/Slime, Games, and More!

The Center for ArtEsteem will be leading a hands-on art activity at Claremont Branch to help us celebrate National Night Out and Claremont's 100th year. This activity will be for all ages and for all levels of experience. The Center for ArtEsteem empowers individuals to be self-aware and inspired through art, creativity, and education, and to make positive choices to break the cycle of violence for themselves and their communities. In all of their work, they promote to understanding that we can choose peace over conflict and love over fear.
Megan Bander of the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley shares information and resources to support your well-being and foster a thriving resilient, and compassionate society. This special lunchtime talk centers the power of compassion and is part of the Berkeley Public Library's Year of Kindness.

In early January and February, come to Claremont Branch for three lunchtime yoga classes for all abilities. Yoga instructor Angela Mandonia returns, this time bringing a focus of Kindness to her teaching.
