May 9, 2007 Board of Library Trustees Special Meeting
The Board of Library Trustees will be conducting a Special Meeting, during which they will be considering cancelling the regular May 16, 2007 Board of Library Trustees meeting. Presentation materials for the Budget Public Hearing during the May 9th Special Meeting are under separate document.

Budget Presentation
A Special Budget Meeting of the Berkeley Public Library Board of Library Trustees to Be Held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at the West Berkeley Senior Center.
The Community is invited to a public-input forum to discuss the Fiscal Year 2008 budget of the Berkeley Public Library. Staff will make a 15-minute presentation on the budget, followed by 45 minutes of public input, 2 minutes per speaker. 72 hours before the budget meeting, information on the meeting will be available in all branch libraries and will be posted on the Berkeley Public Library website.

For the sake of efficiency, the Berkeley Public Library Board of Library Trustees will expand their May 9 Special Budget Meeting to handle regular monthly business in May for the Berkeley Public Library Board of Library Trustees, and at this meeting the Board will consider canceling their regular Board meeting, scheduled to be held on May 16. The Special Budget Meeting should end by 8pm, and the regular business will begin soon after at the same location, the West Berkeley Senior Center. A public comment period will be included, and agenda information for this entire meeting will be available in all branch library locations and at www.berkeleypubliclibrary.org by May 4, 2007.
Decisions about the budget will not be made until the June 20th meeting in order to best incorporate the public’s feedback on the 2008 budget
