28th Annual Quilt Show
Berkeley Public Library proudly presents our 28th Annual Quilt Show. New this year are the show's location and our theme. Quilts will be displayed at the Central Library, and all are miniature. Within this theme, there will be much variation: antique, contemporary, landscape, portrait, patchwork and more. The show runs from April 28 through May 11. To submit a quilt for the Quilt Show, please call 981-6241 (Art & Music) to sign up.

Miles Karpilow Exhibit and Program at Berkeley Public Library
Berkeley Public Library presents an exhibit on master woodworker Miles Karpilow. The exhibit features woodwork, drawings and rare photographs of Karpilow at work, and runs from March 18-31, at the Central Library (2090 Kittredge, at Shattuck. Join us on Sunday, March 22, from 1-5, at the Central Library’s Community Meeting Room for a free program to showcase and celebrate his work. The program begins at 2 p.m. with a slide show and commentary, followed by a reception from 3-5.

Architectural Design Firm Interviews - North and South Branch Libraries
The Board of Library Trustees will be interviewing architectural services firms for the North and South Branch Libraries on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Central Library Community Meeting Room.
The community is invited to attend the presentations and public interview of the finalists for these two projects.
North Branch Library finalists:

A public comment period will precede the presentation and interview of the three finalist for the North Branch, scheduled to begin at 10 A.M. and the presentation and interview of the three finalist for the South Branch project scheduled to begin after 1:00 P.M.
