Berkeley School Desegregation
Berkeley Public Library seeks participants to share and record first-hand experiences of the desegregation process of the Berkeley Public Schools. Recording will take place Saturday, July 11, and Saturday & Sunday, July 18 & 19. Applicants need to commit to ALL three sessions. Applications due by June 19, 2009. How to approach a foundation: from initial contact to getting funded - what does it take?
Thursday June 25, 2009, 2:30 - 4 pm
Central Library, 2090 Kittredge Street
3rd floor community meeting room
Intended for fundraisers with some experience under their belts, though not necessarily with foundations. The course is taught by staff from the Foundation Center and will teach you how to:
- Initiate contact with potential funders.
- Plan calls and meetings.
- Build partnerships with donors.
Class is free, but registration is required.
