Library Staff reports on Southwest Berkeley Library Service Needs Assessment well-attended kickoff meeting held July 24; Board discusses the offer to open a branch in ERC campus and hears consultants report on costs for various options; and Trustee interviews continue. August 1, 2007 Board of Library Trustees Special Meeting at Central
The Board of Library Trustees will be holding a special meeting on August 1st at the Central Library, Community Meeting Room, 3rd Floor. The remaining interviews will be conducted for the upcoming trustee vacancy and Noll & Tam Architects will be giving a presentation on the scenarios related to the possible move of the South Branch to the Ed Roberts Campus.

Vacancy on Berkeley Public Library's Board of Library Trustees
The Trustee position offers a wonderful opportunity for a resident of Berkeley to learn more about the library's programs and services while giving the library support and guidance. This volunteer position has a term of four years with a possible second term.
