Knit-teen club drop-ins! Come relax and knit with us in the teen room at Claremont on Friday afternoons! Feel free to bring problem projects if there is anything you need help with. Feel free to show up if you know nothing about knitting but want to learn. We will have materials available for the monthly project we are working on, so if you missed the meeting on the first Wednesday of the month, we will catch you up!
Looking for a fun, quick craft to do? Make cute little worms out of pipe cleaners and other materials. Pin them on your jacket, or make a few for your friends! Ages 5 and up.

Have you ever wanted a place to keep track of your reading habits? What about tracking your moods? How about creating a space to keep your daily tasks organized? Bullet journaling can be whatever you want it to be! Come join us as we set up our bullet journals for 2025!
This event will take place on Friday January 3rd from 3pm-5pm at the Claremont branch. Teens and adults welcome. All materials will be provided and no bullet journaling experience is needed. Feel free to drop in during the event or stay the whole time!
Like to knit? Join our Knitting Group at the Central Library. We meet the first and third Tuesday of the month from 3:30 - 5:30 PM in the Community Meeting Room on the 3rd floor of the Central Library. Beginners to experts of all ages are welcome. Knitting needles and yarn will be available, but bring your own if you have a project in mind. Snacks and tea will be provided.
It's LEGO DAY!!!
Join us for a celebration of all things Legos, with fun activities for kids of all ages, from 2-4 pm on Saturday, January 18th in the Central Library Children's Room (4th Floor). There will be:
Everyone is welcome to come craft cards for hospitalized kids! This is an all ages event.
You will get a chance to make special cards to send a note of kindness that will be sent to a nonprofit organization that distributes cards to children in hospitals.
We will provide craft supplies, inspiring ideas, and instructions to follow (so that the cards can be sent to the children).
Come design your own library card with special guests Mr. Juan and Mychal Threets!
Limited Edition Berkeley Public Library card designs will be available.
One is featuring our own Story Time Band with design by artist Jerome Lu, Hyperactive Monkey, who will be there in person to celebrate with us!
We will also have a brand new design featuring your favorite online librarian Mychal Threets with a design by artist Devon Blow, Dev the Pineapple.
