Have you ever wondered how to self-publish your own work? From comics to recipes to poetry to manifestos, anything is possible when we learn the power of how to make and share ZINES!!!
What's a zine (said zeen)? It's a short, handmade booklet about anything you want to share with the world--and anyone can make one!
Discover the world of crepe paper flower crafting by learning to make a cosmos flower out of wire, glue, crepe paper and floral tape. In this workshop, you will learn basic skills needed to cut and shape your petals and leaves, and assemble all the parts to create a beautiful cosmos flower with a bendable wire stem. You will leave with a completed flower ready to display in your own vase. This workshop is open for adults and no crafting experience is required. Taught by librarian, Kelsey Ockert.
Kids are invited to come to Peralta Community garden, where they can go on a "no pick" scavenger hunt and make wild flowers out of tissue paper.
