Come join your neighbors in connecting, learning and resource sharing at this month's Skill & Idea Share hosted by Transition Berkeley!

Bring some extra seeds, starts, garden goodies, and/or a dish to share - or just your interest in building a resilient community!

This month's theme is GARDENING - exploring and sharing all of the things we are excited about this season and swapping tricks and reasources!

CraftLab: Watercoloring @West

Whether you're looking to learn a new project or just have some fun with like-minded individuals, CraftLab is a perfect space for you. Join us for an afternoon of creativity and let's build something amazing together!

This month, we will be playing with watercolor! Learn essential watercolor techniques and make this medium your own.  All supplies will be provided and you are also welcome to bring your own watercolor supplies. 

All skill levels are welcome!

This program is for Teens and Adults.

This month's theme is “Electrification at Home” – looking at the benefits, costs and logistics of making the switch.

All are welcome!

CraftLab: DIY Tshirt Bag @West

Whether you're looking to learn a new project or just have some fun with like-minded individuals, CraftLab is the perfect space for you. Join us for an afternoon of creativity and let's build something amazing together!

This month, we will be upcycling Tshirts and sewing them into bags!

From beginner to expert sewers, all teens and adults are invited. While will provide all the materials needed, you are also invited to bring your own Tshirts if you'd like.

We have limited sewing machines so space is limited. Please RSVP by calling 510-981-6270.

CraftLab: Paper Beads @West

Whether you're looking to learn a new project or just have some fun with like-minded individuals, CraftLab is the perfect space for you. Join us for an afternoon of creativity and let's build something amazing together!

This month we will be making beautiful paper beads out of recycled paper and glue along with basic jewelry making if you so choose. You're invited to bring your own leftover craft paper, magazines and even junk mail! We will also provide all the materials you need.  It will be an easy-to-follow, fun, relaxing process.

Skill & Idea Share with Transition Berkeley

Transition Berkeley will begin hosting a monthly Skill & Idea Share event on every second Tuesday of the month from 6pm to 7:30pm.

Mushroom Cultivation @West

The Berkeley Public Library presents a workshop by Griffin Walsh from the Bay Area's Gaia's Collective, a visionary company with a mission of a greener, more sustainable food system for all.

Griffin Walsh is a mycologist, specializing in reducing the tech and capital requirements needed to grow mushrooms. He has spent his winters teaching about mushroom cultivation at the fungi academy of Guatemala and spent his final year of education researching oyster mushroom growth at UC Berkeley.
