Explore Gelli Printing in a hands-on class with Raine Robichaud of the Oakland-based Art Collective Rock, Paper, Scissors. Raine is a Berkeley artist, author and educator who is passionate about creating accessible art spaces where anyone can come together to explore, experiment and build community with each other.
In Raine's class, we will learn how to create textures and layers and how to transfer images from magazines. The gelli plates (special gel plates for an easy DIY printing process) we will be using do not contain any animal products and are non-toxic. Join us to explore this fun and open-ended printmaking process!
This free workshop is offered with funding from a generous grant from the Friends of the Berkeley Public Library. Visit www.berkeleylibraryfriends.org to learn more.
