Come to West Branch for Teen Movie Night Presents: Dungeons & Dragons, starring Chris Pine! Showing in our Community Meeting Room. Popcorn and treats will be provided!

Calling all chess fanatics.

Claremont Branch hosts casual chess games every Friday, 3pm-5pm. All ages and levels are welcome and boards and pieces will be provided. During the summer months games will take place outside the library, weather permitting. 

Come hone your skills and meet some other chess fans.   

Celebrate Mid Autumn Festival: Learn about the legends of the Autumn Moon and create beautiful artworks in ink and colors. Artist-instructor Pauline Tsui presents a hands-on workshop with easy steps on how to paint seasonal flowers, fruits, and small animals. Art supplies, including brushes, papers, Chinese ink, and watercolors will be provided. This class is for beginner level participants. Pre-registration is required, space is limited. BPL Comic Con 2023 will take place @Central from 10:00am to 5:30pm on Saturday, October 28, 2023

A free, all-ages, one-day event focused on all things comics, art, and animation. From strips to graphic novels, fanart and cosplay, to professional creators, we've got something for every fan.

Read to a Dog

Children ages 5 to 12 can sign up for a twenty minute session where they will read aloud to a gentle dog provided by the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, a nonprofit all-volunteer organization.

This program will be held on September 14, September 21, and September 28 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in West Branch's Community Meeting Room.

Registration is required. Please call 510-981-6270 starting at noon on 8/24/23, or come into West Branch to register.

Join us for snacks, table top games, crafts, movies and more every Wednesday after school from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the Claremont Branch Library.
