Please join us Thursday mornings at 10:30am for live music, movement activities, and stories with our story time band. For children ages 2-6, but younger and older children are welcome.

Please join us at the Claremont Branch for three hours of live music! We'll be closing down the street for an open-air event featuring some of the Bay Area's finest performers. All ages are welcome. See you there!

We hope you will join us for our first in-person children’s programs since 2020! Our story time band will lead two 30 minutes sessions: one for children ages 2-5 and the other for kindergarteners and 1st graders. 

Registration for both sessions begins at 12:00pm on Friday, May 20th. To register, follow the link below to the session of your choice.  

Hey teens!  Stop by the Central Library after school for a delicious quesadilla with seasonal vegetables! We’ll start serving at 3:30 PM, until we run out. Quesadillas will be prepared from the Library’s Charlie Cart.

The Library thanks The Berkeley Public Library Foundation for generously funding the Library’s Charlie Cart. Thanks also to The Friends of the Berkeley Public Library for sponsoring the ingredients purchased for the quesadillas.

If you like to play chess or would like to learn, come by North Branch Library each third Wednesday of the month.  We will meet outside the North Branch entrance from 2pm to 4pm for casual games or tips on how to play.  Chess sets will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.  All ages and experience levels are welcome to this outdoor chess program.

This session of Musical Story Time has been canceled due to rain and muddy conditions at George Florence Park.
