Craft Cards for Hospitalized Kids @THP South Branch

Everyone is welcome to come craft cards for hospitalized kids! This is an all ages event. 

You will get a chance to make special cards to send a note of kindness that will be sent to a nonprofit organization that distributes cards to children in hospitals. 

We will provide craft supplies, inspiring ideas, and instructions to follow (so that the cards can be sent to the children).

Homeschool Play Group @West

Calling all Homeschool Families! Berkeley Public Library is offering a drop in Play Group for TK-5th grade Homeschoolers at West Branch.

This is a unstructured play group run by a credentialed teacher and BPL staff member. Parents and caregivers are expected to stay for the play time. 

Activities include: Art, Lego, Play Doh/Clay/Slime, Games, and More!

Monday, Sept 16th 2-3:30pm at West Branch 1125 University Ave Berkeley, Ca.

Gel Printing @Claremont

The Center for ArtEsteem will be leading a hands-on art activity at Claremont Branch to help us celebrate National Night Out and Claremont's 100th year. This activity will be for all ages and for all levels of experience.  The Center for ArtEsteem empowers individuals to be self-aware and inspired through art, creativity, and education, and to make positive choices to break the cycle of violence for themselves and their communities. In all of their work, they promote to understanding that we can choose peace over conflict and love over fear.

Gentle Yoga @Claremont

In early January and February, come to Claremont Branch for three lunchtime yoga classes for all abilities. Yoga instructor Angela Mandonia returns, this time bringing a focus of Kindness to her teaching. Yoga offers a way to be kind to the self and it impacts our ability to be kind to others, making this a personal wellness practice with a potentially big impact.
