Stay & Play at West Branch and North Branch will deliver an expanded set of services and programs during the months of March through June 2024, with the goal of improving early learning outcomes in the youngest library patrons by serving and supporting the needs of informal childcare providers and the children in their care.
The Stay & Play project’s primary goals are to help California public libraries:
- Reach and engage the growing population of informal childcare providers,
- Promote and model early learning practices, and
- Connect informal caregivers to library and community resources, and to each other.
About Aguacate Music Kids
Anna-Maria Violich-Olivier and Natalia Bernal both have bilingual teaching credentials and masters' degrees in education, and each has 10 years experience as elementary public school teachers. Natalia’s family is from Uruguay and Anna-Maria is from Venezuela. Through Aguacate Music Kids, Natalia and Anna-Maria launched the Healthy Me / Saludable Soy program to help young kids form healthy habits. Aguacate Music Kids offers music and classes in English and Spanish that inspire kids and their families to build healthy habits, turning daily routines into musical moments of joy and connection.
