Your resume can strike sparks and leave memories that stick! You can compel reviewers to pay close attention to your resume. Here are a few possibilities: Below your name and contact lines insert a statement that defines you, shows commitment, or asserts your value. It can be as simple as “Eager to take on challenges and make a difference.” In addition to the skills you list, how about including a section “Leadership and Productivity” that announces your initiative, consensus building, motivational abilities, and other soft skills. You could include an Effectiveness section that begins with “Known to be” followed by attributes that have been keys to your success. At the end of your resume you could have a section called “Testimonials,” “Accolades,” or “What Others Say.” Finally, and separately, you could develop a collection of “stories,” a list of annotated capabilities, or case studies. In today’s complex job market going beyond the standard resume content could set you apart. Added write-ups can sustain momentum after the initial interview as you progress to succeeding steps. We will demonstrate some of these possibilities and answer questions.
