Zine Together @North

Teens and adults, join us for a morning of zine-making! Zines are homemade magazines that are based on any topic you want. This workshop is for all levels, whether you are a total beginner or an experienced zine-maker looking for inspiration. All supplies included, just bring your creativity!

During the month of July, teens and adults can pick up a free zine-making kit at any Berkeley Public Library location, while supplies last.

Death Cafe @West

You are invited to a Death Café experience where people, often strangers, gather to discuss death.

The objective is “to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives”. The experience will be a group discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session. Death Cafés help people talk about death and dying in a supportive, unstructured way.

Drag Queen Loteria @CCR

Join us for a fun game of Lotería for kids and families with drag queen and educator Bella Aldama! Lotería is a traditional game enjoyed by many people in Mexico that is similar to bingo - instead of listening for the numbers you have on your card, you listen for the cantor (the caller) to call out the images on your tabla (game card).
