Rising Reader's is a book discussion group for third graders that meets monthly at the Claremont Branch Library. This is the third in our intro to ukulele class series and we will be wroking on playing blues on the ukulele!
We'll cover the basic 12 and 8 bar blues structure and various concepts we can do to add a bluesy feel to our playing, such as the blues shuffle and boogie woogie shuffle, intros and outros, cool licks and fills, and more.
If you've come to the first or second class, or have learned a few basic chords already, you're absolutely ready.

The Benvenue Beats Mini Music Festival is back! Come celebrate Latinx Heritage Month with music and community. We'll be closing down the street for this open-air event featuring some of the Bay Area's finest performers including Mariela Herrera, La Familia Peña-Govea, and the Afro-Peruvian dance company Cunamacué.
