	Documentary Screening & Meet-the-Director Event Tarea Hall Pittman South Saturday, Sept 16 2pm A Rising Tide demonstrates that the homeless crisis is solvable. After the screening, stay for the Q&A with local filmmaker Cheryl Fabio.

Book Release & Poetry Performance Central Saturday, September 23 2pm Lora Mathis will read from her newly released second collection of poems, accompanied by Matty Terrones on the keyboard. Videos will also be played as part of the performance. It will be followed by a Q&A and book signing.

Mexican wrestler El Mago will read and then share wresting moves with special guest wrestlers LoverBoy Leo, Jacob Fatu, Journey Fatu, Juicy Finau, and Parisi.

This story time event is geared towards both children and tweens.

In the Stax: Spoken Word & Percussion Tarea Hall Pittman South Saturday, September 26 6pm Donté Clark is a spoken-word poet, actor, and writer based in California’s Bay Area. Clark will be accompanied by Juan Castillo on percussion.

Foundation Authors Dinner

Save the Date: Sunday, March 3, 2024 This year, the Berkeley Public Library Foundation is shaking things up with a new date for the annual Authors Dinner: we gather for an early evening Sunday celebration on March 3, 2023, giving you a chance to have some literary fun before the work week begins. We'll honor 20 of the best and brightest authors in the Bay Area, so save the date in anticipation of a great night out in support of the Berkeley Public Library.
