Everyone is welcome to come craft cards for hospitalized kids! This is an all ages event.
You will get a chance to make special cards to send a note of kindness that will be sent to a nonprofit organization that distributes cards to children in hospitals.
We will provide craft supplies, inspiring ideas, and instructions to follow (so that the cards can be sent to the children).
Come design your own library card with special guests Mr. Juan and Mychal Threets!
Limited Edition Berkeley Public Library card designs will be available.
One is featuring our own Story Time Band with design by artist Jerome Lu, Hyperactive Monkey, who will be there in person to celebrate with us!
We will also have a brand new design featuring your favorite online librarian Mychal Threets with a design by artist Devon Blow, Dev the Pineapple.
Join us in an afternoon of crafts and coloring as we show love for our library champions!

Join us at Tarea Hall Pittman South Branch Library to build your own solar lamp! Ninth Street Labs has the perfect build project for the Winter Solstice to help us bring light to the dark winter months.

Like to knit? Join our Knitting Group at the Central Library. We meet the first and third Tuesday of the month from 3:30 - 5:30 PM in the Community Meeting Room on the 3rd floor of the Central Library. Beginners to experts of all ages are welcome. Knitting needles and yarn will be available, but bring your own if you have a project in mind. Snacks and tea will be provided.
Masks are strongly encouraged for everyone inside City facilities. If you need a mask, ask for one at the service desk.

Whether you're looking to learn a new project or just have some fun with like-minded individuals, CraftLab is the perfect space for you. CraftLab is the third Wednesday of the month from 4-5:30pm.
This month, we are offering a space for experimenting with creative lettering of various styles and learning some basic calligraphy techniques.
